Destination Development Specialist

This is a full-time role as a Destination Development Specialist at Trove Tourism Development Advisors. As a Destination Development Specialist, you will be joining our Destination Development team and will be responsible for working with destinations to develop and implement tourism strategies and initiatives. This includes conducting research and analysis, identifying market trends and opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the overall visitor experience. The role is located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities:

Develop destination development plans for tourism boards and tourism authorities
Analyze
Develop comprehensive strategic plans for tourism destinations to enhance arrivals, visitor experience, sustainable tourism development, and economic impact.
Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research studies for Trove destinations
Using SPSS, SAS, Tableau, PowerBI and other data analysis and visualization tools for comprehensive analyses of tourism economic, social and environmental data.
Collect, manage, and analyze tourism data from various sources.
Complete market research and competitiveness studies for destination clients
Manage team of two resources on the destination development team
Design and implement capacity building programs to empower local communities, businesses, and government agencies in the tourism sector.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in tourism strategic planning or master planning
